Oakridge Experience
Yesterday my daughter and I went to Oakridge for some summer pieces. We were both looking for beachwear–sarongs, sunhats, towels, flip flops, beach bags, and bathing suits. Our annual family trip this year is to Greece. We’re not going until September, but we like to be prepared early. And who knows how long it will take to find a bathing suit.
We started out looking for our bathing suit, because, as every woman knows, bathing suits are the most stressful things to shop for! I like having my daughter along to give me her opinion on what I might buy. She keeps me from getting anything too frumpy. Me, on the other hand, I try to keep her from getting anything too revealing. I think I might appreciate having her with me more than she appreciates having me with her! We looked around a few places, and managed to even have a few laughs together, debuting what we were trying on. Eventually, we both found suits we like.
Before we went on to getting the other things on our list, we stopped to have a snack at the food court. Over salads and a cookie for a treat we talked about how excited we are to go to Greece. And in a moment of silence, I stopped to realize how lucky I am.
