Swarovski takes fashion seriously. The crystal company lends a financial hand to the American fashion industry every year at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards. Their business-boosting awards for womenswear, menswear, and accessory design are given to three lucky designers chosen to receive moolah to help them helm their houses.
Recently, the fashion set gave back, showing full-fledged support for the grand opening of Swarovski’s new Crystallized store in SoHo. Hosted by Gossip Girl Blake Lively, the fete was attended by Chloe Sevigny, Evan Rachel Wood and Lucy Liu, plus more mega-watt stars. The shop’s a new concept: customers can design their own jewels, and snap up gems from the ready-to-wear collection.
